Why written approval matters

A valid licence and rental approval are separate checks

Malaysia’s Road Transport Act 1987 establishes the legal licensing framework for driving a motor vehicle. The Ministry of Transport and Road Transport Department publish current licence information, while Karbook decides whether a proposed person satisfies the company’s booking and vehicle conditions. A licence that appears valid does not automatically add someone to a rental contract.

Do not rely on verbal permission

Ask for the additional driver’s name to appear in the quotation, booking confirmation, agreement, driver list or another clear written approval from Karbook.
